We had so much fun at last week’s Together Talk. I got to jabber on about my new book, process and purpose, and take some excellent questions about Together Project Management. Never mind that it was 7:30 EDT and one child was building a very loud box fort in his bedroom while the other submitted a video for an a cappella try out! WFH mom-life goes on!
One of the most interesting questions that came up was around investing others and keeping them motivated during a project – especially for those working behind-the-scenes. This was exciting to me because this was one of the big reasons that we wrote this book! There are plenty of resources out there on creating GANNT charts, drafting Google sheets, and sharing Smartsheets (#projectmanagementnerd), but very few ideas about investing others along the way.
Among other things, our newest book shares how to:
- Use a Project Statement to rally your team around the purpose of your project
- Host a Project Launch to get people excited about the impact of your project
- Create a Communications Chart to keep the right people informed at the right times
- Hold a Project Debrief to truly celebrate your team’s results and successes
We would love to share a (digital) copy of The Together Project Manager with you! By November 11 at 9 PM EST, please drop in the comments below your favorite way to invest others in your projects.
